You will be surprise to know that, in an ancient time Indian mathematician Aryabhatta (476-550 CE) was the first of the major mathematician-astronomers from the classical age of Indian mathematics and Indian astronomy invented “ZERO”. The mathematical part of Aryabhatta covers arithmetic, algebra, plane trigonometry and spherical trigonometry. It also contains continued fraction, quadratic equation, sums-of-power series. Applied mathematics has led to entirely new mathematical disciplines, such as statistics and game theory. Mathematicians are also engage in pure mathematics or mathematics for its own sake without any application in mind. Logical Reasoning, reasoning etc. also relate to the mathematics.
