ADDITION ON THE NUMBER LINE

1) PROBLEM- Suppose you have 8 balls, your father has given you another 6 balls. Now how many balls you have?

METHOD OF SOLUTION -  Start count from ‘0’ and jump to ‘8‘ first, then again start jumps from (Eight) ‘8’ position to next 6 more jumps and reach to ‘14‘. So, 8 + 6 = 14 (Answer) balls now you have.

2) PROBLEM – You have ‘10’ units chocolate bar, your elder sister has given ‘ 3 ‘ units more chocolate bar and letter on elder brother has given ‘ 4 ‘ units chocolate bar. Now tell me, how many chocolate bars you have? 

METHOD OF SOLUTION- Start count from ‘0’ and jump to ‘10‘th position first, then start jump from (Tenth) ‘10’th position to next 3 more jumps and again start jump to next 4 more positions and reach to ‘17‘ th positions. So, 10 + 3 + 4 = 17 (Answer) chocolate bars now you have.
