Subtract & Write the numbers in the boxes -
Here we will introduce a very fundamental concept of subtraction via describing a conditional narrative problem. Suppose there is a condition, where any quantity of objects is to be subtracted from the higher quantity of objects simultaneously, and in that process, we have to subtract less quantity of given images than a high quantity of given images, and then we will put the obtained number of images.
There are some examples are given below for your better understanding –
From the above picture image we can observe -
There are 8 oranges in the box, and
4 oranges has been taken out from the same box
So, there are 8 - 4 = 4 oranges.
From the above picture image we can observe -
Suppose, Richard was 12 apples with him and has been placed in a bucket,
and then he given 7 apples to his younger brother from that same bucket,
So, now Richard has 12 - 7 = 5 apples in his bucket.
From the above picture image we can observe -
Tom, has 12 bananas with him,
Tom has given to Richard 5 bananas, and
Now Tom has 12 – 5 = 7 bananas.
From the above picture image we can observe -
There are 9 glass of water, Powel has finished
2 glass of water, now the number of remaining
glass of water is 9 - 2 = 7 glasses of water
