Step 1. – Subtract the ‘Ones’

Step 2. -  Subtract the ‘Tens’

Write 1 in the ‘Tens’ Column.

So, the result is 12

Write 4 in the ‘Ones’ Column. 

Step 2.-  Subtract the ‘Tens’

  So, the result is  34
