THREE DIGIT MULTIPLICATION

METHOD-

Step 1. - Multiply the ‘Ones’ by 4

2 Ones x 4 = 8 Ones.

Write 8 in the ‘Ones’ column.

Step 2.- Now multiply the ‘Tens’ by 4

           2 Tens x 4 = 8 Tens.

                                      Write 8 in the ‘Tens’ column.

Step 3.- Now multiply the ‘ Hundreds’ by 4

               1 Hundred x 4 = 4 Hundred

            Write 4 in the ‘Hundreds’ column. 

 Product = 488  (Four Hundred Eighty Eight)       (Ans.) 

Q2. MULTIPLY 231 BY 3.

METHOD-

Step 1.- Multiply the ‘Ones’ by 3

1 Ones x 3 = 3 Ones.

Write 3 in the ‘Ones’ column.

Step 2.- Now multiply the ‘Tens’ by 3

                               3 Tens x 3 = 9 Tens.

                               Write 9 in the ‘Tens’ column.

Step 3.- Now multiply the ‘Hundreds’ by 3

           2 Hundreds x 3 = 6 Hundreds

           Write 6 in the ‘Hundreds’ column. 

         Product = 693  (Six Hundred Ninety Three)    (Ans.)
