FINDING FACTORS THROUGH TREE METHOD

METHOD OF FINDING FACTORS FACTOR TREE METHOD: -

· In this method, we keep on breaking the number into its factors until we get all its prime factors.

· The prime factors are underlined and written in the end as their product.

SOLVED EXAMPLE:

Example.1) Find the prime factors of 64 using factor tree method.

(USE PENCIL AND RULER TO WRITE AND DRAW THE FACTOR TREE SOLUTION:)

Ans.) 

Ans: The Prime Factorization of 64 by Factor Tree Method:

∴ 64 = 2 X 2 X 2 X 2 X 2 X 2      (Ans.)

Example.2) Find the prime factors of 162 using factor tree method.

Ans.) 

Ans: The Prime Factorization of 162 by Factor Tree Method:

∴ 162 = 2 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3       (Ans.)
