SUBTRACTION OF MIX FRACTION WITH SAME DENOMINATOR -
As we know so far, the subtraction of digit and also subtraction of fraction. Now we will learn, how to subtract mix fraction. Process of subtraction of mix fraction is like same as subtraction of fraction, but before that we have some process to convert from mix fraction to fraction.
There are some steps are discussed below for subtraction of fraction -
Step.1) Convert to improper fractions.
Step.2) Subtract only the numerators, not the denominators. When we add or subtract fractions with same denominator, we just add or subtract the numerators and keep the denominator same.
Step.3) Convert the improper fraction to mixed number as the denominator is smaller than the numerator.
