FRACTION THROUGH NUMBER LINE -
To describe fraction through number line, number line is divided into equal distance part of segment.
A fraction may be represented on a number line as follows :-

The segment between zero (0) and one (1) is divided into ten (10) equal parts of the same length. Each part is 1/10 of the segment.
Now to understand the actual fact of fraction through number line we will go for some examples which are describe below.
Example.1) There are two point on number line are mentioned below. Find the value of P & Q
The segment between zero (0) and one (1) is divided into nine (9) equal parts of the same length. Each part is 1/9 of the segment.
Value of P is 4/9 and Q is 6/9 (Ans.)
Example.2) There are two point on number line are mentioned below. Find the value of P & Q
The segment between zero (0) and one (1) is divided into twelve (12) equal parts of the same length. Each part is 1/12 of the segment.
Value of P is 4/12 and Q is 10/12 (Ans.)
Example.3) There are two point on number line are mentioned below. Find the value of P & Q
The segment between zero (0) and one (1) is divided into ten (10) equal parts of the same length. Each part is 1/10 of the segment.
Value of P is 3/10 and Q is 7/10 (Ans.)
