FACTORS -
Definition- A number is a factor
of a given number if it divides
that number exactly,
without any remainder.
5 x 7 = 35
35 ÷ 5 = 7
35 ÷ 7 = 5
5 and 7 are divisors of 35 as they divide 35 without any remainder.
∴ 5 and 7 are called the factors of 35.
A factor is a number which divides a given number exactly.
4 x 12 = 48; 4 and 12 are the factors of 48.
8 x 9 = 72; 8 and 9 are the factors of 72.
