PROPERTIES OF FACTOR

PROPERTIES OF FACTORS :-

1.   1 is a factor of each number.

2.   Every number is a factor of itself.

3.   A factor of a number is either less than or equal to the number.

Q. Find the factors of 18.

SOLUTION:   ( BY DIVISION METHOD)

[Use rules of divisibility.]

The factors of 18 are 1,2,3,6,9,18.

So, 1 is the smallest factor of every number. The number itself is the greatest factor.
