Conversion Of A Decimal Fraction Into A Common Fraction -
To change a decimal fraction into a common fraction, first remove the decimal point. The number thus obtained becomes the numerator whose denominator is 10, 100 or 1000 etc. as per the place value of the decimals.
To know the place value of the decimals we look at the place value of the last digit to the right of the decimal point in the given decimal fraction. If the place value of that digit is tenths then the denominator of the common fraction will be 10, if it is hundredths then the denominator of the common fraction will be 100, and so on.
