Some Important Fact About Subtraction
1) Any decimal number subtracts from itself or the same number gives zero ‘0’ as a result.
Example - 24.57 – 24.57 = 0, 5.78 – 5.78 = 0, 142.248 – 142.248 = 0
2) If zero ‘0’ is subtracted from any decimal number then the result or answer must be the same decimal number itself.
Example- (1) 25.55 – 0 = 25.55, (2) 375.157 – 0 = 375.157, (3) 18.45 – 0 = 18.45
3) If any decimal number is subtracted from zero ‘0’ , then the result should be the same given decimal number itself with a negative (-) symbol.
Example- (1) 0 – 2.37 = (-) 2.37, (2) 0 – 45.85 = (-) 45.85, (3) 0 – 35.357 = (-) 35.357
