VOLUME OF CUBE -
In a cube, length = breadth = height = a units (say)
Volume of a cube of an edge a units in length
Volume of cube (V) = Length (l) X Breadth (b) X Height (h)
= a units X a units X a units
= (a X a X a) cubic units
= a³ cubic units
Volume of a cube (V) = (Length of an edge)³
Hence V = a³, V = volume, and a = length of a side of a cube
Example.1) Let's say you have a cube with a side length of 5 centimeters. To find its volume, you would use the formula-
Ans.)
Volume = s³
Volume = (5 cm)³
Volume = 5 cm × 5 cm × 5 cm
Volume = 125 cubic centimeters
So, the volume of this cube is 125 cubic centimeters. (Ans.)
In this example, the formula for the volume of a cube was used, and the given side length (s) was cubed to find the total volume. The volume represents the amount of space enclosed within the cube.
