FINDING QUOTIENT

FINDING QUOTIENT -

Finding the quotient means performing division to determine how many times one number (the divisor) fits into another number (the dividend). The quotient is the result of this division.Mathematical Definition:

If A ÷ B = Q, then:-

  • A is the dividend
  • B is the divisor
  • Q is the quotient

Example:-

  • 20 ÷ 4 = 5 → The quotient is 5.
  • 15 ÷ 2 = 7 remainder 1 → The quotient is 7 with a remainder of 1.

Example.1) Find the quotient 55.318 ÷ 3.4

decimal
