SCALENE TRIANGLE

SCALENE TRIANGLE -

A scalene triangle is a type of triangle in which all three sides have different lengths, and consequently, all three interior angles are also different. Here are the key properties of a scalene triangle:

  • Unequal sides:-  No two sides are of the same length.
  • Unequal angles:- All three angles are different, though they still sum up to 180° (as with any triangle).
  • No symmetry:-  Unlike isosceles or equilateral triangles, scalene triangles do not have any lines of symmetry.
  • Height and area:- There is no simple formula for height, but the area A can be calculated using Heron's formula, given the lengths of the sides a, b, and c

                a + b + c

         s = ------------  (semi-perimeter)

                    2

         A = √s (s−a) (s−b) (s−c)

Scalene triangles can be acute, right, or obtuse, depending on the nature of their angles.
