Like & Unlike Term
If the two terms has the same literal factors then they are called Like Terms. Two terms which do not have the same literal factor are called Unlike Terms. As an example we can see that,
In 1) 5ba, 3ab, -ab are Like Terms because literal factors ab & ba in the term 5ba, 3ab, -ab respectively
Whereas 2) 3a⁵b², -7a⁴b are unlike term because the literal factors are a⁵b² & a⁴b in the terms 3a⁵b² and -7a⁴b respectively.
