There are some example are given below for your better understanding –
Example.1) If the cost of 5 footballs is $ 1200 then what is the cost of 12 footballs?
Ans.) As per the given condition, the cost of 5 footballs is $ 1200 $ 1200
Then the cost of 1 football is = ------------ 5
$ 1200
Then the cost of 1 football is = ------------
5
$ 1200
Now, the cost of 12 footballs is = ------------ X 12 5
= $ 240 X 12
= $ 2880
So, the cost of 12 football is $ 2880 (Ans.)
Example.2) If the cost of 10 ladies shirts is about $ 850 then what is the cost of 25 ladies shirts?
Ans.) As per the given condition, the cost of 10 ladies shirts is $ 850.
Then the cost of 1 ladies shirt is = -----------
10
Now, the cost of 25 ladies shirts is = ----------- X 25
10
= $ 85 X 25
