SUBTRACTION OF UNLIKE FRACTION

Step.1)  Take Denominator of ‘Unlike Fraction’ for finding LCM and convert into ‘Like Fraction’ and consider their ‘Denominator’ as 'common Denominator’ and placed at Denominator position of newly obtained Fraction.

LCM of 12 and 24 = 4 x 3 x 1 x 2 = 24

       7          7 X 2                                         14

 ------- = ---------- ( Where  24 ÷ 12 = 2 )  =  ---------

       5           5 X 1                                    5

Step.2) Add ‘Numerator’ of both fraction and result to be placed at ‘Numerator’.
